“For me the best thing about it wasn’t all the organised fun, it was seeing the joy on George’s face at being able to run wild and unsupervised – a sense of freedom I took for granted at his age but, where we live at least, is now sadly missing. He still talks about his Starry Skies friends, and we’ve already bought our tickets for this year’s event.” The Guardian

Brought to you by the award winning team behind family-friendly Shambala Festival, Starry Skies is the perfect, back to nature retreat for just 250 families – with a stunning location, plenty of activities, top notch facilities and the laid back festival vibe that Shambala is famous for.

Edition Six takes place from the 8-12th August, in a stunning new location at a family farm near the Welsh village of Usk, Monmouthshire. Tickets are on sale now, and selling fast so don’t hang about if you’re family would like to roam free with us this Summer! Book yours HERE.

We first started to consider the idea of creating Starry Skies when we realised that parents often feel like they need a holiday after they’ve been on holiday with their kids (we know, we’ve been there!). Going abroad is often an expensive battle of endurance, camping can be miserable if the weather’s a let down and festivals are great but it can feel as though everyone without kids is having a much better time.

Starry Skies is about making sure that families have everything they need to have a great holiday experience whilst getting the chance to truly reconnect with nature and with each other.

  • Lots for kids to do, in a safe environment – after all happy kids mean happy parents. Check out what’s in store for Edition Six HERE – there’s plenty more to be added over the next few months!
  • Being able to go in a group so everyone can help with campsite duties.
  • Being affordable so you don’t have to max out the credit cards to treat your family to a holiday.
This is very much a get-yer-hands-dirty holiday. It can seem that there is far less opportunity these days for our kids to climb trees, scrape knees, build treehouses, make dens and generally go gloriously feral – not so, at Starry Skies. Bring your wellies, bring your tribe, and let’s go wild together!

We hope to see you in August!

Love, the Starry Skies team x
